LET THE STORM IN

MARCH 2025

Visuals are the result of reflected ripple patterns. Projected image bounces off the pond and casts isolated reflections onto the back wall.

Projector rig, masonite and plywood reflecting pool, water, cushions
8 × 51 × 51 inches (pool)
Single-channel video (12:56), sound

“LET THE STORM IN” invites its visitors into a meditation with water—its rhythmic chaos, its stillness, and its capacity to transform. The work draws from my archive of water footage collected across the United Sates in moments of quiet stillness over the course of four years.

Staring at bodies of water immediately reorients my awareness; I find it impossible to feel worthless or separate in its presence. Witnessing nature’s incomprehensible complexity seems to unlock my ability to face every corner of my consciousness. This illuminated pond is a reminder of our infinite preciousness.
